I'll begin with an expression I've seen in the newspaper today

Speak of the devil....
When you are just talking about someone and that person turns up right at that moment, you say to them: 'Speak of the devil!'. This conveys to the new arrival that you were just talking about him, and he's arrived at just the right moment.
 This expression is typically used as an informal and light-hearted way of welcoming someone, since the message conveyed is: 'We were just missing you or thinking of you, so we are glad to see you'.
